We booked a table at La Provence for 4:30 pm through Open Table, knowing that September 14th marked their last day of service. We arrived on time and were seated by 4:45 pm. The restaurant's interior was sophisticated and refined, complete with a bar and pastry section, adorned with French decor that really established the ambiance. The restaurant was a buzz with people waiting to be seated, yet the noise level remained conducive to having an enjoyable conversation with anyone seated at your table. Our server, Brooke, introduced herself once we were seated. She was attentive and friendly throughout our visit. We started with water and bread with butter, brought by a runner. We also had two glasses of Vouvray wine, and I ordered a cup of the French Onion Soup. The soup was decent, though it lacked the richness that I was hoping for. For the main course, my wife had the Gnocchi in Forest Mushroom sauce. She found it a bit salty but still pretty damned good. My dish initially came out with just the Lobster sauce, missing the gnocchi. Before I could mention it to Brooke, a runner quickly corrected the mistake by bringing out a saucer of gnocchi. It seemed the chef at the Pass had forgotten to make sure that the plate was complete before serving it. Despite this, the sauce had an ample amount of lobster, and the dish was very tasty, and collectively we enjoyed our meals. Brooke and the team were diligent, consistently refilling our water glasses. I must say that the closure of La Provence will be a real loss, not only for us but for the community. We cherish our memories of happy times and delicious meals at La Provence, and its closure is a sad moment. A glimmer of hope still remains with the news that the owners of the restaurant are considering trying to purchase the property from the property owner where La Provence is located, and we extend our best wishes for their success!

I was sad to hear that they will be closing this weekend Sat 9/14. My husband has never been here so we decided to have lunch here. We ordered a few things to try and everything was really good! Salad was fresh and steak was tender! We glad we were able to enjoy one last meal here before they close.

Sadly, they will be closing their doors September 14, 2024. We've enjoyed many special occasions and wonderful meals over the last 20 years. Cheers and thanks for the memories!

Our first time to dine here. It was our 25th anniversary celebration. We decided to try this place. The food presentation is great and food is delicious. The service is great too except for how long we have to wait. It took at least 3 hours from the time we got seated to eating out desserts. And it was a Wednesday night and not a weekend. The place is elegant and nicely decorated. The crowd was really noisy but eventually got quieter as the night progressed. Overall I had a great time and enjoyed the food.

Second time in this classy french restaurant in Roseville. Had a reservation for 6:45pm on a Wednesday night, called and asked if we can get seated early and indeed we were able to. I chose their Prix Fixe - 3 course for $41. Had the French onion soup, Braised short rib and profiterole for dessert. Hubby opted to get the beef wellington. Happy with our choices. The first time we were here was a long time ago and can't even remember what I ordered so this was a treat. Missing french cuisine so trying this place in our hood. Definitely coming back for more.

This is our second time here. The first was remotely back in 2006. All I remember was getting the French Onion soup and Escargot. They have been here since 2003, so they must be doing something right. Truth be told, we only came here because we've had this gift card for years now and we unanimously agreed on dining here. Our reservation was at 6:45 but after calling, we got an okay to come in early at 6 pm. Upon entering, I couldn't even recall the layout. We got a table for two in a booth by the kitchen entrance, so that was a plus. Our server, Kevin, was funny and prompt. That goes true with the other crew members who were serving us, including the hostess. We got our waters and for some reason, she and the server decided on getting me a hot water served in a cup and saucer. For drinks, I got the $7 house wine and my wife got an Aperol Spritz. I chose to get the Beef Wellington served medium rare as recommended by Kevin. My wife ordered the $41 Prix Fixe 3 set course. She chose the French Onion Soup, Braised Beef and Profiteroles for dessert. F&D was great. My wife found the Aperol Spritz rich, and she wasn't able to finish it. So, I had to be the better person and finished it. We'll surely be back.
